Euless DWI Claims Life of Young Soldier

Another weekend, another motorist killed by a drunk driver.

My prayers and thoughts go out to the family of young Brandon Bennett, who was driving to Lewisville around 5:00 o’clock yesterday morning. This fine young 20 year old man was crashed into as he drove in the 2300 block of West Pipeline Road in Euless.

Brandon was only five minutes from his home in Hurst. He was en route to the Texas Army National Guard, where he was a private, to do drills.

Brandon’s mother, Brenda Holden, said that “It was his dream to serve his country. He had such a tremendously big heart.”

The drunk driver, Beth Branum, 29 of Granbury faces a charge of intoxication manslaughter.

Brandon, we salute you. May you rest in peace.
